Baker's Dream Chocolate Cupcake Recipe

In this recipe, sour milk is used to help the cupcakes rise.

This recipe makes 12 cupcakes

Method:

  1. Place all the ingredients in a bowl and beat well with an electric beater or whisk thoroughly using a hand whisk.

  2. Prepare your oven to 180°C.

  3. Pour your cupcake mixture into a greased baking tin or into paper cupcake holders.

  4. Bake for 20 minutes until an inserted toothpick or fork comes out clean.

Pro tips:

  • Instead of cupcakes, this makes a great 9x9 cake. Make sure to grease your pan thoroughly so the cake does not stick.

  • Don't have sour milk on hand? Add 1 Tbsp vinegar to cup and then add fresh milk to make 1/2 cup. Let sit a few minutes before using.
