Baked Donuts

Baker's Dream Baked Donut Recipe

These baked donuts are super tasty and easy to make!


Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Baker's Dream All-Purpose Wheat Flour

  • 1 tsp Baking Powder

  • ¼ tsp Salt

  • ¼ Cup Sugar

  • 1 Egg

  • ¼ Cup Plain Yoghurt

  • 3 Tbsp Milk

  • 1 ½ Tbsp Butter, room temp

  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Glaze

  • ½ Cup Powdered Sugar

  • 2 tsp Hot Water


Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 160°C.

  1. Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

  2. Using a hand mixer or whisk, combine the sugar, egg, yoghurt, milk, butter and vanilla extract.

  3. Add the dry ingredients and mix until combined (do not overmix).

  4. Generously spray a donut pan with non-stick cooking spray. If you don't have a donut pan, use a muffin pan and roll tin foil into small rolls with a flat base so that the little log can stand up in the middle of each mould in the muffin pan, to make a donut shape.

  5. Split the batter evenly between the donut moulds. If you are using a muffin pan, split batter between muffin moulds, gently around the tin foil rolls.

  6. Bake at 160°C for 12-15 minutes.

  7. Remove from oven and allow to cool in pan for 2-3 minutes.

  8. Transfer the donuts to cooling rack.

Glaze

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the powdered sugar and hot water.

  2. Dip the donuts into the glaze.
