These baked donuts are super tasty and easy to make!
Ingredients:
1 Cup Baker's Dream All-Purpose Wheat Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
¼ tsp Salt
¼ Cup Sugar
1 Egg
¼ Cup Plain Yoghurt
3 Tbsp Milk
1 ½ Tbsp Butter, room temp
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Glaze
½ Cup Powdered Sugar
2 tsp Hot Water
Method:
Preheat oven to 160°C.
Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
Using a hand mixer or whisk, combine the sugar, egg, yoghurt, milk, butter and vanilla extract.
Add the dry ingredients and mix until combined (do not overmix).
Generously spray a donut pan with non-stick cooking spray. If you don't have a donut pan, use a muffin pan and roll tin foil into small rolls with a flat base so that the little log can stand up in the middle of each mould in the muffin pan, to make a donut shape.
Split the batter evenly between the donut moulds. If you are using a muffin pan, split batter between muffin moulds, gently around the tin foil rolls.
Bake at 160°C for 12-15 minutes.
Remove from oven and allow to cool in pan for 2-3 minutes.
Transfer the donuts to cooling rack.
Glaze
In a medium bowl, mix the powdered sugar and hot water.
Dip the donuts into the glaze.
